According to reports from Uruguay, former Inter Milan playmaker Alvaro Recoba will complete a move to Qatari outfit Al-Gharafa in the next few days.

Recoba, who played on loan at Torino last season, still has another year left on his Inter Milan contract, but the 32-year-old has affirmed that he will pen a deal with the Qatari club by the end of the week.

The former Uruguayan international currently finds himself in the luxurious beach resort of Punta del Este in his homeland, where he was able to speak to the local press about his latest move.

He will travel to Doha in the next couple of days to complete his move to Al-Gharafa, club who are coached by Marcos Paqueta of Brazil.

"El Chino" has played in Serie A since 1997, where he found mixed fortunes at Inter Milan, before being loaned out to Torino. The gifted playmaker will always be remembered for being one of the most talented footballers who never reached his full potential.

Earlier in the week Recoba confirmed that he will return to his former club, Nacional of Montevideo, after his contract with Al-Gharafa expires.
